Job Summary:

As an Area Sales Manager, you'll be responsible for exceeding sales targets within your designated territory. You'll lead a team of sales representatives, providing them with coaching and guidance to unlock their full potential. You'll develop strategic sales plans, analyze market trends, and identify new business opportunities. This role demands exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with dealers, distributors, and key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales plans to achieve assigned targets for volume and value growth.
  • Lead, motivate, and coach a team of sales representatives, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct regular market analysis to identify trends, competitor activities, and potential customer needs.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with dealers, distributors, and key accounts.
  • Implement effective sales strategies to drive brand awareness and product adoption in your territory.
  • Oversee inventory management and ensure timely product availability for your distributors and dealers.
  • Conduct regular market visits and store audits to assess performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Prepare and deliver impactful sales presentations to potential customers.
  • Monitor and analyze sales data to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement sales promotion initiatives to drive sales growth.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of regional sales strategies.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (preferred)
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a sales or business development role (experience in the paint industry a plus)
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and achieving business objectives
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • A valid driver's license (preferred)
